Hiya!!!
I hope you are doing well.
At this moment I am enjoying the silence and sunshine through the window. Finally there is sunshine. The past weeks here have been bleak and rainy and now it is cold and sunny. I love the silence and crispness frost brings. This weather calls me out to go outside and be in nature (I can now hear the birds calling my name), but it also makes me quiet and not wanting to disturb this natural stillness by venturing out in the city or be online or on the phone. So if it is quiet on my end… I am still in quasi hibernation. I have a full time office job, so truly hibernating is not in the books. But I would love to switch off for a bit.
For me it doesn’t really feel like the New Year just yet, I don’t really feel like motivating myself to do anything or plan anything. I am just happy reading a book, cooking, walking, meditating, doing yoga and well just chilling.
Now as a witch (and I am writing a blogpost about this, but again, I am not at the computer so much, so taking my time) I feel that the new year really starts after Imbolc. This is one of the 8 Sabbats or seasonal points on the Wheel of the Year, along with Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh, Mabon, Samhain, and Yule. It’s a Celtic fire festival that welcomes the return of the sun and marks the changing of the Goddess from Wise old Crone to Fair Maiden. Imbolc is a time of new beginnings and of hope that spring will return. The old year needs time to die, to decompose, and to fertilize the ground for something new.
So today, Sunday, we see a powerful Super Full Blood Moon and eclipse in the sign of Leo and this moon asks us to follow through on whatever creative, visionary urges have been the underlying theme of the past two years. What made you feel alive? What makes you passionate? What lights your fire? What do you need to realize your vision? Or what needs to go? Where can you light up and be a beacon for others? Where are you meant to shine?
And here is a link to this week’s ChaChaChat, enJOY!
Ask for a message from your heart about what you are here to create.
Shine your light in the world in new and different ways that are more authentic ways of self expression! It is time to let go of the fear and be the true you.
On Wednesday I was a guest on Seema Kapur’s Empowerment Hour on Facebook, you are invited to watch this here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1918922088225509/?active_tab=discussion
P.S. Put your crystals outside tonight for a Moon Bath and make Moon Water.
🌕
How to:
Use a glass jar (eg a glass teapot) filled with (spring) water and put it outside in the Full Moonlight for 1 night. Cover the jug to prevent bugs or other animals to drink come take a sip as they love the stuff!
Whether the night is clear or cloudy does not matter, the Moon energy is absorbed in the water anyway.
If you have no outside place to make this water, then place your water behind the window so that from this place the Moon can shine on it.
Remove the jug in the morning and keep it in a cool place.
Use:
In the morning, drink a glass of Moon Water to allow the Moon energy to fully penetrate into your being, strengthening the feminine and soft power within yourself (for both men and women).
You can also use Moon Water to cleanse your crystals, gems, water your plants or as healing drinking water.
There are, of course, many more applications, I would say experiment! Have fun!
