Hi everyone! How was your Halloween yesterday? Please share with me what you did? Did you dress up, if so please share your pictures. I love all those creative costumes and dressing up is just great fun. Play is important. Myself however decided to not dress up and party this year. My body is screaming a need for rest, so I am trying to honor that. So I went out to dinner and a movie with a friend. Today I am staying in to reflect and do a release ritual. Just calm down, take stock and connect. I am feeling a bit disconnected at the moment, tired an too much in my head. It is time to turn inward and let go. I feel that so strongly, I so need to stay in and be and take stock. I feel the angels are calling me to lean on them and ask them for help, let go and give my worries to them. I feel held in their wings and a peace just washes over me as I am writing this. After I write this blogpost, I am switching off the computer and totally connect with the Angels and spirits. The veil is so thin now and I more clearly feel the energy of past loved ones. This time of year is so magical. I want to give them all my attention to hear them clearly and listen.
Yesterday, at Samhain the turn towards winter began. This time of year when so many cultures honor the dead occurs just as the deepest darkness of the year begins. The “Sun God” traditionally is thought of as going back into the womb of the “Goddess” to gestate there, until his rebirth at Winter Solstice. The six weeks from Samhain to Winter Solstice are the darkest time of our year. Traditionally, this creates a window that ends the old growing season before the new one starts again. The “veil between the worlds” of life and death are considered thin here, and traditionally, we honor those who have crossed through death to the other side. So take time here to appreciate all your ancestors, loved ones, and mentors on the other side, and all that you have harvested as this growing cycle comes to a close.
This window begins the inward turning time of the year. It’s the time to reflect within in order to determine what you’re ready to release or let go of, and what you choose to bring into the next growing cycle. The action of reflection here forms a very important part of the creation cycle. In order to create the “new,” often something also needs to be “let go of.” So spend time in reflection, tuning into what needs to be released, then be willing to take action to do so physically. Or allow it energetically. Choose the one or two ideas you need most to work with, then focus on those. Intentions function best when there are only one or two to concentrate on in any cycle.
I hope you all have time to do this and listen to what you need. If this resonates with you please take that time to see what you can release and set new intentions.
